FNCR – 2018 Onwards

Since leaving Warming

After leaving Wargaming I have gained a diverse client base that includes Microprose, Steal Aces’ Tank MMO game, and Bluestone Publishing’s game Boundary.

Microprose:

Historical Insight: Leverage Microprose’s expertise in historical and simulation games to provide deep insights into the historical accuracy and meticulous attention to detail that goes into their games. This can captivate history enthusiasts and gaming fans alike.

Developer Interviews: Collaborate with Microprose’s developers to conduct interviews that shed light on the research, challenges, and passion that drive the creation of their historically grounded games.

Historical Anecdotes: Share interesting historical anecdotes or trivia related to the time periods featured in Microprose’s games. This can help engage players who have a keen interest in history.

Steal Aces (Tank MMO game):

Gameplay Highlights: Utilize gameplay footage and short clips to showcase the intensity and excitement of tank battles in the MMO game. Highlight unique features, strategies, and teamwork aspects that set the game apart.

Strategy Guides: Create content that provides tactical tips and strategies for success in tank battles. This can be incredibly valuable to players looking to improve their gameplay skills.

Community Challenges: Organize community challenges or events within the game and promote them through your content. This can encourage player participation and strengthen the game’s community.

Bluestone Publishing (Boundary):

Sci-Fi Atmosphere: Given that Boundary is set in a space-based environment, focus on creating content that captures the immersive sci-fi atmosphere of the game. Share concept art, in-game visuals, and insights into the game’s universe.

Visual Showcase: Utilize screenshots and video snippets to showcase the breathtaking visuals and artistry present in Boundary. Highlight the game’s graphical fidelity and attention to detail.

Developer Insights: Collaborate with the developers to provide behind-the-scenes insights into the creation of the game’s environments, characters, and overall design.

Wargaming – 2010 and 2018

I have been on an incredible journey with wargaming launching World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Warplanes in the UK.

I was also instrumental in the formation of a variety of Wargaming partnerships with museums, culminating in the building of the Education Centre, Tiger Tank Collection and fury exhibition at the Bovington Tank Museum, the Dornier 17 exhibition at the RAF Museum, and the Royal Navy Museum’s Battle of Jutland exhibition.

During this time, we generated extensive coverage for all wargaming brands with a plethora of covers and coverage across all spectrums, gaining wargaming a solid foothold in the UK market.

The special projects division within wargaming offered the opportunity to work on creations for museums offering VR/AR and ‘app’ projects, which include: VR of HMS Belfast and HMS Caroline. As project lead on apps including Tank 100, HMS Caroline, and Apparition Dornier 17 and working with partners on the Microsoft hololens and Google Tango for Sturmtiger for the tiger tank collection – the only missing tank in that collection.

in 2017, our biggest project; Tank 100, was a celebration of the 1st tank on the battlefield in France in WWI. This was a year-long project starting with a media event at the Bovington Tank Museum, the creation of a special edition magazine with Gamesmaster, and an app entitled Tank 100 which includes AR and VR and ends with the Mark 4 tank appearing in Trafalgar Square.

TEAM & PARTNERS

Frazer Nash

MANAGING DIRECTOR

  • Frazer has 30+ years in games PR, marketing and communications, with your career going back to the 1990s. Your lists roles with Interactive Magic, GameTek, Take-Two Interactive, Vivendi Universal Games and Wargaming, as well as your own Frazer Nash Communications.
  • I have worked on an unusually strong list of games, including Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Grand Theft Auto II, Diablo II, Warcraft III, StarCraft, Homeworld, Max Payne, The Simpsons: Hit & Run, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, World of Tanks, World of Warships and World of Warplanes, among many others.
  • During eight years at Wargaming, I wasn’t simply doing conventional PR. I was involved in partnerships with museums and major historical projects, including the Tiger Tank collection, Dornier 17 exhibition, HMS Belfast/HMS Caroline VR projects and Tank 100, which culminated in a Mark IV tank appearing in Trafalgar Square.
  • I relaunched Frazer Nash Communications as an independent business after leaving Wargaming in 2018, with clients including Bluestone Games, MicroProse, Toplitz Productions, Steel Aces and others.
  • FNCPR’s work now extends beyond traditional PR into creative campaigns, dynamic digital PR, events, video production, key art, campaign materials, influencer marketing, content production and event design and management
  • I also have worked across gaming, film, comics, science fiction, museums and military history, rather than being confined to one gaming genre. In a 2018 interview, I specifically mentioned that I wanted to reconnect with comics, films and Sci-Fi London.
  • There are industry testimonials describing me as highly connected to UK and European games media, creative, energetic, knowledgeable and particularly good at generating media interest.

The strongest positioning isn’t simply “Frazer has 30 years of PR experience.” It’s that FNCPR effectively gives a client direct access to someone who has spent three decades building relationships, creating campaigns and making things happen across the games and entertainment industries.
